Since 2008 Prof. Hobe is a Visiting Professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology. Here he occasionally teaches either a full course or a lecture on specific problems of international space law.

Prof. Hobe has been nominated as an "Honorary Professor" of Beihang University since 2013. Here he teaches a full course in international aviation law and sometimes also in space law.
