Prof. Hobe also teaches at various universities in the People's Republic of China.

Since 2011, Prof. Hobe has been appointed as a "Thousand Talent Professor" at the Law School of Xiamen University. Here, besides some other courses that are related to general international law and international economic law, Prof. Hobe also teaches a course in air and space law.

Moreover since 2008 Prof. Hobe has been a Visiting Professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology. Here he occasionally teaches either a full course or a lecture on specific problems of international space law.

Finally, Prof. Hobe has been nominated as an "Honorary Professor" of Beihang University since 2013. Here he teaches a full course in international aviation law and sometimes also in space law.
